Volkswagen, Audi, Skoda and Seat form the third largest group in our catalogue after the Fiat and Renault families. Because the four brands are built on shared platforms, cross-use is strong on the clip and fastener side — which makes finding the right part easier, and hides one trap.

One Part, Four Brands

A substantial share of the products in this group is listed under more than one brand. The trim clip in our catalogue is common to the Audi A3 and A8 as well as the Jetta and Passat; the clutch fork bolt covers Bora, Caddy, Jetta and Octavia together; several washer jet references fit Skoda and Seat models alongside Golf, Polo and Passat.

The practical consequence: if you cannot find a part under your own brand’s reference, searching the sibling brand on the same platform usually gets there.

Same OEM Number, Different Variant

There is one point to watch here. In interior trim, a single OEM number can cover several products: on the armrest catch, the same number corresponds to three separate items in black, beige and grey. In this group the OEM number alone does not complete an order — the trim colour has to be stated as well.

Window Regulator Repair Kits

One of our deepest ranges in this group is window regulator repair kits. We hold separate references for the Golf IV and Bora, the Passat, the Polo, and the Golf 5 and Jetta. Four pieces of information are needed on these items: model, front or rear, left or right, and which generation (earlier or later model). On the Passat, the earlier and later generations start from a different OEM prefix, and that prefix is usually the quickest way to tell the generations apart.

Where the Distinction Is Critical

The overlap is strong in body and interior trim, weak around the engine and electrics. One more thing: a single model name spans several generations. The Golf IV and Golf 5, or the Passat B5 and B6, are not interchangeable on most fasteners, so the production year has to be stated alongside the model name.

Getting the Match Right

With an OEM number, typing it into the search box is enough. Without one, send the shaft diameter, head diameter and mounting point along with the model and production year — and on interior trim, do not forget the colour. For anything you are unsure about, send a photo of the removed part and we will do the matching.
